Brown Bag “Bring Your Idea to Market” [Event Recap]

Back to Posts

On November 27, 2013, SCWIST held the last Brownbag event of the Fall series, and it ended on a high note.  The room was filled with undergrads and graduate students, even faculty members, of both sexes, attending the “Bring Your Idea to Market” event hosted by Annelies Tjebbes, a biomedical engineer with a social conscience.  Our event attracted a number of students who already possessed innovative ideas and thus found the event very useful.

Ms. Tjebbes had definitely ignited the passion for entrepreneurship and engineering in the students.  They all highly praised her presentation being informational and comprehensive, she thoroughly covered the multi-faceted aspects of the process of bringing ideas to the market including the technology, finance, patents and promotion.  More importantly, she was commented as an excellent and charismatic speaker.  SCWIST will have to invite her back for round 2!

Event organized by: Lisa Parvin and Lauren Muttucomaroe, Brown Bag Coordinators. Details of the event were provided by Lisa Parvin.
