SCWIST 2008 AGM - June 18, 2008

Members are cordially invited to this year’s SCWIST AGM the evening of Wednesday June 18th, 2008 at 5:45 p.m.

Location: Paetzold Health Education Centre – Multipurpose Room

VGH, Pattison Pavilion (level 1 – behind the info desk) – 899 West 12th

Our guest speaker will lawyer Marjorie Brown presenting How to be an Expert Witness

This event is free of charge to all members in good standing. Please register prior to June 12th here. New members welcome!

Dinner will be provided.

Marjorie Brown is a partner with Victory Square Law Office LLP in Vancouver, BC. Marjorie acts for public and private sector unions in all manner of proceedings and has a particular interest in equality
issues and human rights law. In addition to her work for unions, Marjorie represents individuals and community groups on human rights and Charter of Rights and Freedoms matters. Marjorie regularly appears in BC Supreme Court and before various administrative tribunals. She has appeared in the BC Court of Appeal a number of times and made submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. Marjorie sits on the Advisory Committee for the family caregiving leave law reform project of the BC Law Institute and Canadian Centre for Elder Law.
